St. Petersburg – Florida Destination Tampa and Clearwater

How to get there

  • Tampa International Airport (TPA) Tampa · 35 km

Approximate road distances. Check flights and bus schedules before you travel.

From TPA, follow the bay road connections; from Tampa or Clearwater, allow extra time for metropolitan roads.

How many days

One or two days for the museum and waterfront, not treating the visit as a short stop between beaches.

When to go

For St. Petersburg, November through April is usually the driest period; in summer, June through September, plan for breaks due to heat and rain. Hurricanes can affect the region between June and November.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Downtown allows walking between the waterfront and the museum; a car helps for beaches outside the center.

Return via The Dalí Museum sector

Finish walks in the sector of St. Petersburg you already visited and return to your lodging before planning another trip. Light and weather can change the duration of this stage.

  4. Evening
    Free evening in St. Petersburg

Dine near your base in St. Petersburg and keep the evening free to rest after the tour of The Dalí Museum.

Check before you go. Opening hours and days change, and places may close for renovations, holidays or events. This itinerary is a suggestion from Cidade Turismo, not a commitment: plan yours by checking directly with each place you intend to visit.
