Get to know the place
The Tampa Bay area combines three cities with different programs. Tampa has Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, which require separate tickets and time; Clearwater is focused on the beach, and St. Petersburg brings together museums and the waterfront.
The contrast allows alternating intense park days with beach time and a visit to The Dalí Museum. Distances between bases are not walkable, and bridges and metropolitan access should be factored into each day.
The route can complement Orlando, but it’s worth staying overnight in the region to avoid repeating the drive after a full park day. From June to November there is hurricane season; in summer, heat and rain usually affect outdoor activities. The beach does not follow the same schedule as the water park.

Clearwater is the city that gives access to the stretch of sand at Clearwater Beach, on a coastal island. The beach and Pier 60 are the focal points of the coastal visit, with lodging and services close to the sand and a bridge connection to the mainland.
St. Petersburg pairs The Dalí Museum with a waterfront of parks and promenades along Tampa Bay. The city is different from St. Pete Beach on the ocean coast: the museum and downtown are on the bay side.

To combine the Tampa Bay parks with the coast, November through April is usually less hot and humid. Summer rains and the hurricane season, from June to November, require flexibility.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Four or five days allow one day for a theme park, another for water activities, and time for beach and museum visits.
Tampa serves the parks; Clearwater Beach provides easy beach access. Downtown St. Petersburg is better for museums and bayfront walks.
Take your trash with you, follow the signs and support local businesses. In natural areas, follow the visiting guidelines.
