When to go

Year-round. From April to September there is little rain and mornings are cool, good for the Serra de Santa Helena. From November to March rains usually fall in the afternoon. The cave has a stable temperature throughout the year.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
