The city

What to expect from Sete Lagoas.

Sete Lagoas is a mid-sized town on the BR-040, about 70 km from Belo Horizonte, with urban lagoons in the center and the Gruta Rei do Mato at the entrance roundabout. The cave, protected as a state natural monument, is known for its twin calcite columns. The town lies on the Rota das Grutas and is the most practical base for visiting Lagoa Santa and Cordisburgo.
