The city

What to expect from Cordisburgo.

Cordisburgo is a small town in the Minas Gerais hinterland, about 120 km from Belo Horizonte, known for two reasons: Gruta de Maquiné, a few kilometers from the center, explored by Peter Lund in 1834, and the Museu Casa Guimarães Rosa, in the house where the writer was born in 1908. The downtown is small and crossed by the railway line, in front of which stands the writer's birthplace.
