From Januária, follow BR-135 north, passing the park headquarters in Fabião I; it’s about 65 km to Itacarambi. From Belo Horizonte the total is roughly 670 km, via Montes Claros and Januária. There are buses to the town from Belo Horizonte, Brasília and Montes Claros.
