The city
What to expect from Itacarambi.
Itacarambi is a town in northern Minas on the banks of the São Francisco River, about 20 km from the headquarters of Parque Nacional Cavernas do Peruaçu, in Fabião. Part of the park’s caves and sites lie within the municipality. With simple guesthouses, restaurants and shops, it is the closest base for the trails for those arriving on BR-135 from Januária.
