About Sea to Sky Gondola
The Sea to Sky Gondola departs from a base beside Highway 99, south of Squamish town centre, and in about 10 minutes climbs to roughly 885 meters elevation. Along the way the cabin passes beside the walls of the Stawamus Chief and Shannon Falls.
At the summit, observation platforms show Howe Sound, the fjord that cuts into the Coast Mountains, and the surrounding peaks. The Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, a suspension bridge of about 100 meters, crosses a valley to a viewpoint. Short and long trails traverse the forest, and some lead to higher summits.
In winter, the summit offers snowshoeing trails and tubing. The ascent requires a paid ticket; check the current price list.
