About Shannon Falls
Shannon Falls is in a provincial park beside Highway 99, about 2 km south of Squamish. Water from Shannon Creek drops about 335 meters over a series of tiers on the granite slope, making it one of the tallest waterfalls in British Columbia.
A short trail of a few minutes passes through a cedar and fir forest to a viewpoint facing the lower part of the falls. Another trail links the park to the Stawamus Chief and the base of the Sea to Sky gondola.
The park has picnic areas and is a common stop on the road between Vancouver and Whistler, a few minutes from downtown Squamish. There is no entrance fee.
