About Lynn Canyon Park
Lynn Canyon Park is in east North Vancouver, in a narrow valley of cedar and fir forest. Opened in 1912, it has a pedestrian suspension bridge about 50 meters above the Lynn River—shorter than Capilano’s but equally over a deep canyon.
Marked trails descend to the river and lead to waterfalls and the 30 Foot Pool, a green, cold natural pool. Another trail follows the canyon to Twin Falls, with a small bridge over the falls.
The park’s ecology centre explains the temperate forest and local wildlife. The river has strong currents and slippery rocks: swimming is at your own risk, and signed areas must be respected. There is no entrance fee.
