About Horseshoe Falls and Table Rock

Horseshoe Falls is the largest of the three Niagara Falls and is almost entirely on the Canadian side. It is about 670 meters wide and about 57 meters high, and most of the river’s water flows over it. The mist rising from the base can be seen from a distance.

The Table Rock viewpoint is right on the edge of the horseshoe: from the railing you can see the water curving and plunging just a few meters away. From the riverside promenade, to the north, you can see the American Falls and the small Bridal Veil Falls on the American side.

The Table Rock visitor centre is the departure point for the tunnels behind the falls and sits next to the old hydroelectric power station. At night, the falls are lit with coloured lights. There is no admission fee for the viewpoints and the promenade.
