About Natural Bridge
The Natural Bridge is on the Kicking Horse River, a few kilometres from Field on the road to Emerald Lake. Over thousands of years the water cut through a softer rock layer and left a slab above that forms an arch over the river.
The green, icy river flows forcefully underneath and among the rocks. Platforms and a footpath on each side allow close views of the arch and the rushing river below. Yoho National Park peaks appear in the background.
It is a short stop, almost always combined with a visit to Emerald Lake. A national parks pass is the only requirement to visit.
