The city
Bolivia's constitutional capital, Sucre lies in a valley at about 2,800 meters and is called the White City for the whitewashed facades of its center, a World Heritage site since 1991. The independence was signed at the Casa de la Libertad in 1825. The city has universities, colonial churches, the La Recoleta viewpoint and, 5 km away, the Parque Cretácico, with dinosaur footprints.
