About Sea Life Blankenberge
Sea Life Blankenberge is an aquarium on the east side of town, close to the beach. The route passes tanks with North Sea species, such as flatfish, rays and crabs, and areas of tropical seas, with sharks and reef fish.
One of the most popular spots is the seals area, outdoors, where the animals swim in a large pool. At certain times there are presentations about feeding and animal care; check the schedule for the day.
The aquarium is designed for families, with explanatory panels and touch areas for coastal animals under supervision. It is a good option for rainy and windy days, common on the Belgian coast.
Tickets are often cheaper if bought online in advance. Check the opening times, which vary by season.
