About Villa Teola

At the beginning of the 20th century, Los Teques was a cool-climate refuge for Caracas families who went up the mountains to relax. From that time is Villa Teola on Roscio Street, built in 1912 by physician Arnoldo Morales Sumoza under the name Villa Amelia.

The house was built with balustrades and decorative details typical of summer residences of the period. Later it was sold and became known as Villa Teolinda, a name that evolved into the current form, Villa Teola.

After a period of abandonment, the property was restored and reopened as a cultural park, with museum space and cultural activities. From the street you can see the balustrades of the façade and the garden surrounding the house.

The visit is short and helps to understand Los Teques in the first decades of the 20th century, when the road and the train connected the city with Caracas.
