About Tlos Örenyeri

Tlos is near Yakaköy, inland in the Fethiye region, occupying a rise above the valley. The settlement brings together remains from different periods. The position of the acropolis and the rock-cut tombs shows the importance of the terrain in the city’s layout.

Theatre, public structures and funerary areas allow reading beyond a viewpoint. The route requires selecting sections and observing the connections between them. Not every elevated area is open for circulation, and the visit should follow the indicated accesses.

Plan an outing by road, which can be combined with the Saklıkent area if you have a full day. Carry water and prefer to walk early in summer. The program does not need to reach every high point to give an overview; choose the extent according to time and willingness to climb.
