About Glenariff Forest Park
Glenariff is one of the nine Glens of Antrim, valleys that descend from the inland hills to the sea, and is known as the queen of the Glens. The forest park occupies the upper part of the valley, with woodland, tree plantations and a gorge through which two streams run.
The best-known trail is the waterfalls walk, which follows wooden boardwalks and steps along the gorge, passing several drops of water amid mosses and ferns. There are other waymarked routes of varying lengths, some with views over the open valley and out to sea.
The park is managed by the Forest Service of Northern Ireland and has parking, a picnic area and a café at the entrance.
