Who we are

A travel guide to France.

Cidade Turismo in France gathers, destination by destination, what you need to plan your trip around the country: what to do, when to go, how to get there and how long to stay in each town.

8 routes 17 destinations 11 regions 43 cities

Across Cidade Turismo: 43 countries · 78 routes · 568 destinations · 1,512 cities

What the guide covers

The guide begins with Paris and Versailles and continues through the regions: the Loire Valley, Normandy, Brittany, Champagne, Alsace, Burgundy, Lyon, the French Alps, Provence, the Côte d'Azur, Bordeaux, Carcassonne, Toulouse and Corsica.

Each destination brings together the towns in the region, what to do in each, individual pages for attractions, when to go, and how to get there.

Regions and names

France is divided into regions, and the guide organizes the towns by those regions.

On signs and at stations the name appears in French: Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Bretagne, Corse.

By train between regions

The high-speed train links Paris to the country's main cities and shortens distances between regions. In many destinations, a car helps to reach villages and vineyards outside the towns.

Each destination explains how to get there and whether it’s worth renting a car.

Why there are no prices

Outside Brazil, the guide does not show prices for tours or tickets because they change frequently. The text notes when there is an entrance fee or charge, and the amount should be checked before you go.

How the content is made

The information for each place is researched from official sources, such as France’s national and regional tourism organizations, town halls and the attractions themselves, and is checked before being published.

The pictures in this guide are illustrations based on the real place, not photographs, and may differ from it. Photos sent by travelers appear separately, as travelers' photos.

If you find any information that differs, write to us: fixing it is quicker than it seems.

All of Cidade Turismo

The guide started in Brazil and now also covers other countries, always with the same organization: routes, destinations and cities.
