The route
What is Eurostar Paris–Amsterdã
The Eurostar connects Paris to Amsterdã in about 3 hours 20 minutes, without changing trains. The train departs from the Gare du Nord in Paris, stops in Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi), in Rotterdam (Rotterdam Centraal) and at Schiphol airport, and arrives at Amsterdam Centraal in the old town. Some services also stop in Antwerp (Antwerpen-Centraal).
It’s the simplest route to combine three countries in one trip. França, Bélgica and Holanda are in the Schengen area and use the euro: there is no passport control between them, and the traveler gets off the train already in the city centre, without airport transfers.
You can do it all at once, in a morning, or stop in each city. The most common approach is to split the trip: a few days in Paris, two or three in Brussels, with a day in Antwerp or Bruges, a day in Rotterdam and finish in Amsterdã. Between Belgium and Holanda, besides the Eurostar, there are Eurocity Direct trains that link Brussels, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Schiphol without seat reservations.

How to travel
The way and the tickets
By train, with ticket purchased in advance. The Eurostar has assigned seats and no check-in: just arrive at the station, find the train on the departures board and board before departure. Between Belgium and Holanda, the Eurocity Direct is an alternative without reservations.
Best time to go
When to go: month by month
From April to June and in September: long days and mild temperatures. The tulip season in Holanda usually runs from mid-March to mid-May. In winter, from December to February, it’s cold and it gets dark early, but there are Christmas markets.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Your questions answered
Frequently asked questions about Eurostar Paris–Amsterdã
O Eurostar tem check-in?
Quanta bagagem posso levar?
Vale usar o passe Eurail?
