How many days

Half a day is enough for the rua do Caminho, the church of Santiago, the chapel of Madalena and the Ribadiso bridge. For pilgrims, Arzúa is a stage: you arrive in the afternoon and leave early, heading to O Pedrouzo and Santiago.

When to go

From May to October is the season with most pilgrims and longer days; July and August are the busiest months in the hostels. The Festa do Queixo takes place in March. In Galicia it rains much of the year, especially from November to March.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The village is explored on foot, and Ribadiso is on the Camino itself, about 3 km away. To get there without walking there are buses from Santiago and from Lugo.
