Eubiose Waterfall
A roughly 10-meter waterfall with a wide pool, about 3 km from the center of São Thomé das Letras on the road to Sobradinho. A short, marked trail leads from the entrance to the falls.

About Eubiose Waterfall
Cachoeira Eubiose is located in the Canta Galo neighborhood, about 3 km from the center of São Thomé das Letras, on the municipal road that continues to Sobradinho and Baependi. It is the closest waterfall to town and one of the most visited in the region.
The drop is about 10 meters and falls into a wide pool roughly 50 meters in diameter, surrounded by forest. Following the river there are other small falls and rapids that create shallower bathing spots.
From the entrance a marked trail of about 120 to 200 meters descends to the waterfall. The area is protected, and an entrance fee is usually charged at the gate. Because of its proximity, it is possible to walk from the center in a hike of about one hour along the road.

Best time
On hot days, from October to March, when swimming is more pleasant and the falls usually have more water. From April to September the water is colder, but the trail is drier.
How to get there
From the center, follow the municipal road toward Sobradinho and Baependi for about 3 km until the marked entrance. You can go by car or on foot in a walk of about one hour.
Tip
Confirm the accepted payment methods for the entrance fee. Wear shoes with good grip on the descent trail and carry your trash out with you.
