About Paseo Victorica

The Paseo Victorica is Tigre's promenade along the river Luján. It runs from the city center to the Museo de Arte Tigre, with trees, benches and views of the boats.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Tigre was the summer resort of Buenos Aires' elite, and the promenade concentrated clubs, hotels and residences. Many of those mansions still stand, some converted into restaurants.

The promenade is also known for its rowing clubs, with European-style clubhouses and boathouses opening onto the river. On weekends it is common to see rowing crews training and regattas.

Along the promenade are the Museo Naval de la Nación and, at the far end, the Museo de Arte Tigre. On the other side of the river the Delta islands begin, with stilt houses.
