Who we are
A travel guide to Argentina.
Cidade Turismo in Argentina brings together, destination by destination, what you need to plan travel around the country: what to do, when to go, how to get there and how long to stay in each town.
6 routes 9 destinations 11 provinces 29 cities
Across Cidade Turismo: 43 countries · 78 routes · 568 destinations · 1,512 cities
What the guide covers
The guide starts in Buenos Aires, the main gateway to the country, and continues across the country: Mendoza and the vineyards at the foot of the Andes, Bariloche and the Road of Seven Lakes, Salta and Cafayate, Jujuy and the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Puerto Iguazú and the Missions, El Calafate and El Chaltén and, at the southern tip, Ushuaia.
Each destination brings together the towns in the region, what to do in each, individual pages for attractions, when to go, and how to get there.
Provinces and distances
Argentina is divided into provinces, and Buenos Aires, the capital, is an autonomous city. The guide organizes towns by province.
The country is large, and between destinations the distances usually require domestic flights, almost always with a connection in Buenos Aires. The time zone is UTC−3.
Road routes
The routes in the Argentine guide are road trips by car, on roads that are attractions in themselves: Mendoza’s Wine Routes, the Quebrada de Humahuaca, the Road of Seven Lakes, the Jesuit Route, National Route 3 through Tierra del Fuego and the stretch between El Calafate and El Chaltén.
Each route shows the route, the stops and how many days to allow.
Why there are no prices
Outside Brazil, the guide does not show prices for tours or tickets because they change frequently. The text notes when there is an entrance fee or charge, and the amount should be checked before you go.
How the content is made
The information for each place is researched from official sources, such as Argentina’s tourism bodies and provincial authorities, the national parks, municipal governments and the attractions themselves, and is checked before being published.
The pictures in this guide are illustrations based on the real place, not photographs, and may differ from it. Photos sent by travelers appear separately, as travelers' photos.
If you find any information that differs, write to us: fixing it is quicker than it seems.
