Who we are

A travel guide to Portugal.

Cidade Turismo in Portugal brings together, destination by destination, what you need to plan your trip around the country: what to do, when to go, how to get there and how long to stay in each city.

4 routes 13 destinations 15 districts 30 cities

Across Cidade Turismo: 43 countries · 78 routes · 568 destinations · 1,512 cities

What the guide covers

The guide starts with Lisbon and Porto, the two main gateways for international flights, and continues to Sintra and Cascais, the Douro Valley and the Algarve.

Each destination brings together the towns in the region, what to do in each, individual pages for attractions, when to go, and how to get there.

Districts and short distances

On the mainland, Portugal is divided into districts, and the guide organizes the cities by them. Madeira and the Azores are separate autonomous regions.

Distances are short and the train links the main cities. On many trips you can stay in Lisbon or Porto and visit other cities on a day trip.

Why there are no prices

Outside Brazil, the guide does not show prices for tours or tickets because they change frequently. The text notes when there is an entrance fee or charge, and the amount should be checked before you go.

How the content is made

The information for each place is researched from official sources, such as Portugal's national and regional tourism boards, the municipalities and the attractions themselves, and checked before it goes live.

The pictures in this guide are illustrations based on the real place, not photographs, and may differ from it. Photos sent by travelers appear separately, as travelers' photos.

If you find any information that differs, write to us: fixing it is quicker than it seems.

All of Cidade Turismo

The guide started in Brazil and now also covers other countries, always with the same organization: routes, destinations and cities.
