How many days

Three or four days for the malecón, Espíritu Santo Island, Balandra and the whale shark.

When to go

From October to May, with mild weather and calm seas; the whale shark is usually in the bay at this time. From June to September it is very hot.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Helpful for getting to Balandra and El Tecolote; there are buses to the beaches and taxis. Boat tours will pick you up at hotels or depart from the malecón.
