The city
Portofino is a fishing village on the tip of the promontory of the same name, east of Gênova. Colorful houses surround a small cove and the Piazzetta, facing the port. A short trail climbs to the Chiesa di San Giorgio and Castello Brown and continues to the Punta del Capo lighthouse. On the other side of the promontory, in a bay with no road, lies the abbey of San Fruttuoso.
