The city
What to expect from Matei.
Matei is in the north of Taveuni, where the island’s airport is located, with sandy and coral beaches, beachfront accommodation and views of the islands Qamea and Laucala. It is the most convenient base for the Tavoro waterfalls and the Lavena coast in Bouma National Heritage Park to the east.
