The route
What is Eurostar: Londres, Paris and Bruxelas
The Eurostar links Londres to the continent via the tunnel under the Canal da Mancha. Trains depart from St Pancras International station, in the King's Cross area, and run on two branches: one to Paris (Gare du Nord), in about 2 hours 15 minutes, and another to Bruxelas (Bruxelles-Midi), in about 2 hours. Many trains from Bruxelas also stop in Lille, in northern France.
The tunnel crossing takes about 20 minutes and is barely noticed: the train enters the tunnel in Kent, England, and emerges near Calais, France. The difference from other European train routes is the boarding process: because the United Kingdom is not in the Schengen Area, passport and baggage checks are carried out at the station, before boarding the train, much like a small airport.

1 · the United Kingdom
Londres
The route begins at St Pancras International, a 19th-century red-brick station linked to the King's Cross St Pancras tube. Londres deserves at least three days: the Museu Britânico, Westminster and the Big Ben, the Torre de Londres, the Tâmisa and the parks.
-
2 · France
Paris
The Paris branch arrives at Gare du Nord, in the 10th arrondissement, connected to the metro and the RER. Paris requires at least three days: the Louvre, the Torre Eiffel, Notre-Dame, Montmartre and the Sena.

3 · Belgium
Bruxelas
The Bruxelas branch arrives at Bruxelles-Midi (Brussel-Zuid), usually with a stop in Lille. From the centre: the Grand-Place, the Saint-Hubert galleries and the Atomium; Bruges and Gante are less than an hour away by regional train.
How to travel
The way and the tickets
By train, with a reserved seat ticket purchased in advance. Unlike other European trains, Eurostar services to and from Londres have a cut-off for boarding: ticket check, X-ray of luggage and passport control before the platform. Arrive early and confirm the time recommended by the company beforehand.
Best time to go
When to go: month by month
From May to September: long days and mild temperatures, with more visitors in museums and busier trains in July and August. April, May and September usually strike a good balance between weather and crowds. In December there are markets and Christmas lights, with cold weather and short days.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Your questions answered
Frequently asked questions about Eurostar: Londres, Paris and Bruxelas
Precisa mostrar passaporte no Eurostar?
Sim.
