About Bishop's Hat
Chapéu do Bispo is one of the peaks in Monte Verde’s trail area, near Pedra Redonda. The name refers to the shape of the rock at the top of the hill.
The trail starts from the same parking lot as Pedra Redonda, at the end of Avenida das Montanhas, and is about 650 to 710 meters one way. It is the easiest of the set, with flat stretches for most of the route, and passes by viewpoints and the Platô, an open rock area with views of the valley and the district.
On the top of the Chapéu do Bispo rock, local companies often offer rappelling. Those with more time combine this trail with Pedra Redonda in the same outing, since both start at the same point.
