About Simão Waterfall

Cachoeira do Simão is a drop of the Ribeirão Campestre, about 7 meters high in two stages. The water falls into a wide pool that receives, from the right side, the waters of another stream, and is one of the most popular bathing spots in Gonçalves.

It is about 6 km from the center, and the waterfall is a short walk, about 100 meters, from the roadside parking. An alternative, slightly longer trail runs through the forest alongside one of the streams that form the waterfall.

Because access is easy, it often attracts families and pairs well with hikes in the Terra Fria neighborhood on the same day. On weekdays outside holiday periods, visitor numbers are usually low.
