The city
What to expect from Delfinópolis.
Delfinópolis lies on the north shore of the Peixoto reservoir, on the Rio Grande, at the foot of the mountains on the southern side of the Canastra. The municipality has more than 150 waterfalls, most on private farms with trails and entrance fees, such as the Complexo do Claro, about 7 km from town, and the Cachoeira do Ouro in the Vale da Gurita. It is also land of Canastra cheese and artisanal cachaça.
