The city

What to expect from Bichinho.

Bichinho is the name by which everyone knows Vitoriano Veloso, a district of Prados about 7 km from Tiradentes, at the foot of the Serra de São José. The village arose with the 18th-century gold mines and preserves the Church of Nossa Senhora da Penha de França, built between 1732 and 1771, with rococo paintings. It is known for studios and shops selling crafts in wood, iron, fabric and papier-mâché along the street that comes from Tiradentes.
