The city

What to expect from Poços de Caldas.

Poços de Caldas lies inside an ancient volcanic caldera, at about 1,200 meters elevation, in southern Minas Gerais near the border with São Paulo. The town grew around the sulfurous waters and has the Thermas Antônio Carlos (1931) in the center, part of a historic complex with a park and gardens. From the top of the Serra de São Domingos, reached by cable car, the Cristo Redentor dominates the city view.
