About Warner Bros. Movie World
Warner Bros. Movie World opened in 1991 in Oxenford, next to the Gold Coast film studios, and is Australia’s only film-themed amusement park. The streets mimic Hollywood sets, and Warner characters such as Batman, Superman, Mulher-Maravilha, Pernalonga and Piu-Piu roam the park and appear in the daily parade.
The roller coasters are the highlight for teens and adults: the DC Rivals HyperCoaster, one of the tallest and fastest in the country, the Superman Escape, which launches the car at speed, and the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, in a closed dark environment. Each ride has its own minimum height requirement.
For small children, the Looney Tunes area has gentle rides, a little driving school and character meet-and-greets. The stunt-car show in a covered arena is one of the most popular attractions for all ages.
The park is part of the same group as Sea World and Wet'n'Wild, and combo passes are available. At certain times the park hosts special night events.
