About SkyPoint
SkyPoint occupies floors 77 and 78 of the Q1, the tallest building on the Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise. The express lift rises 77 floors in less than a minute, and the observation deck sits about 230 metres above the beach, enclosed by floor‑to‑ceiling glass.
From there you can see the whole coastline, from the southern beaches up to the Spit and the Broadwater to the north, and the inland mountains to the west. On clear days the view reaches Brisbane and Cape Byron in New South Wales. Between June and November whales are sometimes seen offshore.
The lookout has interpretive panels and a café and bar. For those wanting more, the SkyPoint Climb takes guided groups with safety equipment up an external stairway to near the top of the building, about 270 metres up.
At night the lookout stays open and becomes a place to see the coastline lights.
