About Australian Outback Spectacular
The Australian Outback Spectacular has operated since 2006 in Oxenford, between Movie World and Wet'n'Wild. It is a dinner-show in a covered arena that tells the story of cattle farms in the Australian outback, featuring horses, stockmen and stockwomen, working dogs and other animals.
The current show, Heartland, follows a farming couple facing a long drought, with projections that turn the arena floor into pasture, red earth, river and fire. There are riding displays, Australian country music and humour.
A three-course dinner with grilled meat or chicken and a vegetarian option is served during the performance, and drinks are included. Each guest receives an outback stockman hat on entry, and there are activities before the show.
The show is suitable for all ages. Performances are in the evening, usually Tuesday to Saturday, with some matinee sessions on certain Sundays.
