About Galería de la Veneración

The Galería de la Veneración is an outdoor walk at Famaillá’s entrance, by the roadside, dedicated to religious figures. Statues and murals represent saints, virgins and scenes of popular Catholic devotion, and the site is also known as a religious theme park.

The Virgin of Mount Carmel, the town’s patroness, holds a prominent place. Devotion to her is long-standing in Famaillá: the image venerated in the parish is wooden, from the 18th century, and goes in procession every July 16. In the gallery, the patroness appears among the other figures as part of the same route of faith.

The gallery is part of the group of sculpture parks that made Famaillá famous, together with the Parque Temático Histórico del Bicentenario. There are hundreds of sculptures spread through the streets and access roads of the town.

The place welcomes worshippers and visitors passing along the road who stop to walk among the images.
