Regional buses and the coastal road link Kalkan to Kaş and toward Fethiye. Check the stop and onward transport to your accommodation, especially if it is on the hillsides.

How many days

Two or three nights for the town center, Kaputaş and a trip to Patara; extend your stay to include other stretches of the coast.

When to go

From May to October, adjusting swimming to sea conditions. July and August call for walks early in the morning or late afternoon because of the heat.

The center can be explored on foot, but the slopes matter. A car or regional transport makes reaching Kaputaş and sites beyond the town easier.
