Kuşadası – Aydın Destination Éfeso and Kuşadası

How to get there

Bus and road link Kuşadası to the İzmir region and to Selçuk. İzmir airport is the typical arrival point, with onward road travel to arrange. Cruise passengers should calculate the time available outside the port.

How many days

Three nights allow for one day in Ephesus and another on the waterfront or in the park, plus the central walk.

When to go

June to September for a programme more focused on the coast; April, May and October usually favour archaeological visits with less heat.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

The central waterfront is walkable. For Ephesus and the park, arrange local transport, a taxi or a vehicle, choosing the access point according to the visit.

Suggested itinerary

An order that works

Built with the places on this page. No rush: it's paced so you have time to see them.

One day in Kuşadası
  1. Morning
    Güvercinada and the centre

Cross via the islet access and observe the relationship of the fortification with the harbour.

  2. Afternoon
Waterfront or outing to the park

Choose an urban stretch of coast; reserve a full day for Dilek if you want to hike or stay in the coves.

Check before you go. Opening hours and days change, and places may close for renovations, holidays or events. This itinerary is a suggestion from Cidade Turismo, not a commitment: plan yours by checking directly with each place you intend to visit.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kuşadası the same town as Ephesus?

No. It is on the coast and serves as a base for an outing to the nearby site at Selçuk.

Is the Dilek park next to the harbour?

No. It is a regional excursion, with sectors and entrances that should be defined before you set out.

Can you visit Güvercinada without a car?

Yes. The islet is linked to the central waterfront by a pedestrian access.

Does one cruise day allow you to see everything?

Disembarkation and return times should guide the choice of a circuit, without trying to cover the whole region.
