Both choices make sense: staying overnight in the village lets you follow the activity around the rock at a relaxed pace. For those already in Göreme, the castle and the Pigeon Valley viewpoint can make for a half‑day outing.

What can you do in Uçhisar without going down into the valleys?

Walk the streets around the castle and view the relief from the high points. The climb up the rock involves stairs; external observation can be an alternative for those who want to avoid that effort.

Does Pigeon Valley connect Uçhisar to Göreme?

The valley stretches between those parts of Cappadocia, but a hike requires selecting the access point and endpoint. Uçhisar’s viewpoint does not compel you to cross the valley.

Can I visit Uçhisar Castle immediately after arriving at the airport?

That depends on the transfer, daylight hours and the castle’s opening time. Don’t use flight duration as the only reference: you first need to reach the village and drop off your luggage.
