Allow part of a morning or afternoon for transport, entry and the underground route. Time inside the site is only part of that calculation, especially for those coming from Göreme.

Can I use Kaymaklı as a base for the whole Cappadocia region?

It is possible to stay in the area, but the main tourist service centers are in other towns. For a first visit with several routes, compare logistics with Göreme, Uçhisar or Ürgüp.
