The city
San José del Cabo is the oldest town in Los Cabos and the municipal seat, founded around a Jesuit mission in 1730. The center has Plaza Mijares, the mission church and streets of art galleries. By the sea lies the San José river estuary, and the region’s international airport is a few kilometers away. About an hour and a half away, Cabo Pulmo National Park protects a coral reef.
