About Playa del Amor

Playa del Amor is the strip of sand between the rocks of Land's End, next to El Arco. It is one of the few beaches in the world that touch two seas: the inner side, called Playa del Amor, is on the Gulf of California, and the outer side, Playa del Divorcio, faces the Pacific.

On the Gulf side, the sea is usually calmer and allows swimming and snorkeling near the rocks on calm days. On the Pacific side, waves and currents are often strong, and swimming is not recommended; it is a beach for walking and viewing the open ocean.

There are no services on the beach: no stalls, shade or restrooms. Water taxis drop visitors on the sand and return to pick them up at the agreed time. On days of heavy swell, disembarkation may not be possible.

The beach is part of the Cabo San Lucas flora and fauna protection area, and an access wristband is often required by boat operators.
