About Praia de Natadola (Natadola Beach)

Natadola Beach occupies a wide bay at the western end of the Coral Coast, about 50 km from Nadi. It is one of Viti Levu’s best-known beaches, with fine white sand, coconut palms and vegetation at the headlands, and water that ranges from light green to blue.

What sets Natadola apart from other beaches on the main island is its position relative to the reef. Because the bay lies outside the coral line that runs parallel to the coast, the water is deep enough to swim even at low tide, when the lagoons of neighboring beaches become shallow.

On southerly swell days the waves increase at the bay’s headland and draw surfers and bodyboarders; on calm days the beach is peaceful for swimming and floating. Residents of nearby villages offer horse rides along the sand and sell coconuts and fruit.

The beach is public and sits near some hotels and a golf course. On weekends it attracts Fijian families who come from Nadi and Sigatoka.
