About Playa de Levante

Playa de Levante is Benidorm's busiest beach, with about 2 km of fine sand between the old town and the Punta de Canfali to the west, and the Rincón de Loix to the east. The sea is calm, protected by the bay, and shallow near the shore.

Behind the beach, the Paseo de Levante runs along the entire seafront with palm trees, benches, bars, ice-cream shops and restaurants. It is from this promenade that you get the classic image of Benidorm: the row of tall buildings pressed close together, with the mountains in the background.

The beach is cleaned daily and has lifeguards, showers, toilets, children's areas and rentals of chairs and sunshades. At the eastern end, the Rincón de Loix concentrates large hotels and nightlife geared to British tourists.

At the other end, the beach ends at the foot of the old town, where a staircase climbs up to the igreja de San Jaime and the Balcón del Mediterráneo.
