About Hot Beach Olímpia
Hot Beach Olímpia is the second large water park in Olímpia, the inland São Paulo town that grew around underground hot waters. It is located in the Hot Beach complex, next to resorts from the same group, and has more than 20 attractions. The profile is family-oriented: the park has fewer extreme rides than the neighboring Thermas dos Laranjais and more space to be in the water and on the sand.
The main attraction is the artificial beach, a large wave pool with a strip of light sand, coconut palms, lounge chairs and shade. The park produces several types of waves throughout the day, and the beach is divided into three areas: Praia do Agito, Praia da Família and Praia Kids, which has shallower water. A stage in the middle of the water hosts performances. The lazy river, about 300 meters long, is floated on an inner tube.
For those seeking adrenaline, the Irado tower has four slides with curves and drops, ridden on single tubes, and there is a half-pipe shaped ramp, like a skate track, ridden on a double tube. The zipline, about 280 meters, passes over the river and the beach and is charged separately.
The children's area has shallow pools, slides, water jets and a play structure with giant buckets that dump water at once. Restrooms have changing tables and smaller toilets for children. For relaxing there are ofuros, calmer hot-water pools, bars inside the water and cabanas for rent.
The water is naturally heated, which allows using the park even on cooler days. Guests staying at the complex resorts have access to the park during their stay.
Before you go
Practical information
Cidade Turismo reviews its information regularly, but something may have changed. Check with the place before planning your trip.
How much time to set aside
A full day. With small children many people split the visit into two days, alternating with Thermas dos Laranjais.
Best time
Open year-round, and the warm water allows using the park even in winter, when days are usually dry and nights cool. Summer, from December to March, tends to be very hot with afternoon showers. School holidays and public holidays are the busiest periods; outside those, weekdays are the calmest. Check the operating calendar before you go.
How to get there
It is on Avenida Governador Adhemar Pereira de Barros, in Olímpia, near the center and a few minutes from Thermas dos Laranjais. The nearest airport is São José do Rio Preto, about 50 minutes by car. From São Paulo city it is about 430 km via the Bandeirantes and Washington Luís highways. There are buses from São Paulo and other cities to Olímpia's bus station.
Tip
Buy tickets in advance on the website. The zipline and cabanas are paid separately. For small children, choose a shaded spot near Praia Kids and the children's area, which are close to each other. Bring sunscreen and flip-flops; if you plan to spend more than one day in town you can combine Hot Beach with Thermas dos Laranjais and Vale dos Dinossauros.
