Get to know the place
Graz is the capital of Styria and a base for exploring the urban history of southern Austria. The old town preserves courtyards and streets linked by trams, beneath the Schlossberg hill. The view from above helps place the Mur River and its two banks.
The historic heritage continues out to Eggenberg, beyond the central core. In the arsenal, objects remain organized so that the building's former function can still be perceived. The choice of interiors gives substance to a stay beyond a quick walk.

The local experience
The Schlossberg is Graz’s central hill, crowned by the clock tower. Paths and terraces open views over the Mur River and the roofs of the historic center.
Eggenberg lies west of Graz city centre and is part of the city’s World Heritage. The palace is arranged as a complex of courtyards, towers and gardens.
Kunsthaus Graz has a bluish curved form on the western bank of the Mur. The contemporary architecture building contrasts with the façades of the historic surroundings.
The Landeszeughaus displays Styria's historic armoury in central Graz. Rows of armours, helmets and weapons occupy the floors of the building.
The Murinsel is a steel structure in the Mur River, linked to the banks by walkways. Its curved form creates an urban space over the water in central Graz.
