About Knidos Örenyeri

Knidos occupies the end of the Datça peninsula, near Tekir Burnu. The city was arranged between a continental part and another joined by an isthmus, forming two harbour areas. The terraced terrain shows how the settlement adapted to the relief and navigation.

A theatre, worship spaces and other remains appear on an open route, with views over coves and slopes. The interest lies in the relationship between the structures and the coastline layout, without expecting all buildings to be preserved. There are climbs and sections of uneven ground.

The road from Datça requires its own time slot and a planned return. Those arriving by boat must confirm the landing method and visiting time. Bring water and prefer walking outside the hottest hours; do not plan the visit around staying for a sunset that might conflict with the site's closing.
