About Hunat Hatun Külliyesi
Hunat Hatun Külliyesi brings together religious and community-use buildings near Kayseri's fortification, as a distinct stop on the central walk.
The complex was commissioned by Mahperi Hunat Hatun in the 13th century and includes a mosque, madrasa, tomb and bath. Stone portals with geometric and vegetal forms let you observe the work of Seljuk builders. Compare the function of each part with the arrangement of access points, avoiding treating all the volumes as a single prayer hall.
Tourist circulation should respect the uses of each building and the permitted areas. For the mosque, choose a time outside prayer periods, with shoulders and knees covered; women should cover their hair. Observing the façades adds substance even when the interior route is limited, and the bath has its own operation, not automatically forming part of the architectural visit.

Frequently asked questions about Hunat Hatun Külliyesi
What does the Hunat Hatun complex mean for a walk in Kayseri?
It brings together functions of prayer, learning, burial and bathing in nearby Seljuk buildings. The visit allows comparison of these parts, rather than seeing only a mosque façade.
Can I enter the Hunat Hatun mosque at any time?
Visits should take place outside prayer times and follow local guidance. Bring clothing that covers shoulders and knees and a headscarf for the women in the group.
Does visiting Hunat Hatun include using the complex's bath?
The bath has its own operational arrangements. The architectural tour does not presuppose that activity nor free access to all the külliye buildings.
