About Paşabağları
Paşabağları gathers fairy chimneys topped by blocks of rock, in a visit area near Avanos.
Also called the Vale of the Monks, the site allows close observation of columns with varied shapes and thicknesses. Some structures were hollowed out, linking the landscape to human occupation in Cappadocia. The walk takes place among the formations, in a more concentrated space than the large hiking valleys.
Allow time to walk around and view the rocks from different angles. The site receives groups and has exposed sections to the sun; mornings usually favour a cooler visit in summer months. Respect the marked paths, as the tuff forms are part of a fragile heritage.
